i have been giving a lot of thought to the young people who are leaving the watchtower organization in recent years.
last night, i was reading the thread posted by jwfacts a while back in which he provided some statistics and graphs showing the rapidly declining growth in the watchtower.
one factor that was discussed at length was the high number of young people who do not stay in the organization.
There is no meat to the message. Constant harping on no education or getting g ahead. Lack of suitable marriage mates (even for boys)
Seeing the one way money path.
The buffoons being put front and center on broadcasts.
Watching grandma/pa and parents get old and die penniless.
the youngest reference i have come across is in the 1992 watchtower (march 1st page 27) - “in the summer of 1946, i was baptized at the international convention in cleveland, ohio.
although i was only six years of age…”.
i would like to find more examples of this, particularly of examples in more recent times.
Couple years ago I was introduced to some little kid who just got dunked. Im guessing 7 or 8. Really took me aback.
This year I hear prideful comments about a 9 yo.
Every one I know of has been a snot.

is the "day age" theory still the current position of watchtower?.
One explanation is the water canopy or "gloom"or whatever kept the sun from being distinct then became clear in day 4

jehovah's witnesses were raped and tortured by the thousands in malawi because they obeyed the watchtower society's rules, and they broke caesar's law and refused to purchase a political card in a country that only had one polictical party.
now (since 1999), jehovah's witnesses are allowed to vote in political elections!
i would love to hear everyone's comments.

here in the uk, we've had a recent missing persons case which has turned into a potential murder inquiry.. sarah everard (33), disappeared on wed 3 march in london.
human remains were subsequently found in a wood near ashford, kent, and a met police officer has been arrested on suspicion of murder.. horrible events, and the issue of women feeling unsafe on the streets certainly needs discussing.. but surely not what baroness jones suggested: tabling an amendment for a 6pm curfew for all men.

it's a new sexuality that means people who are exclusively attracted to cisgender males or females.
it was made because some people are saying you aren't straight if you don't date transgender people.

Exactly. We have one young upcoming hotshot who is paying special attention to " spiritual widows". Holding so called family studies. Maybe he is looking for a mother?? Or something else. He is one of the ones who never seem to notice girls.
i just watched the oprah interview.
i know that many view them with little interest as just entitled wastes of space and i get that.. however, the description of how they were "trapped" and silenced and forced into perpetuating the system with little or no personal freedom rang bells for me.
they are effectively shunned, estranged and disparaged by their family and cut off from support.

instead of a straightforward reading, it's mixed with reenacted "quotes" delivered in a phony-natural voice from men and women, with hip music in the background.
the organization is so up to speed and innovational lol.
